A local lady specialist doctor fills the vacuum

HUNZA, June 4: Aliabad, tehsil Headquarter Civil hospital is out of proper medical staff. According to the details, government civil hospital, Aliabad which serves as a focal point for the patients of both Hunza and Nagar was facing shortage of medical staff. A graceful building of PC-4, being constructed to upgrade existing health facility was in the last phase of its completion still did not get adequate paramedical and addition medical officers to cater the need being faced in wake of influx of hundreds patients from the newly paralyzed district that lack its self lack proper departmentalization.
Contrary to claims of local administration that it was ready to cope emergency like situation, this is enough to open their eyes as this hospital has only a single male family physician for more than thirty thousand populace.

According to an existing staff member in the hospital, on condition of anonymity claimed that even life saving medicines were unavailable in case of emergency. A local born lady specialist doctor who is on her charitable mission has joined for some indefinite date. Similarly, another lady doctor used to serve for mere three days a week and rest at Head Quarter Hospital Chilas. This has given a hope to those who demanded for a lady physician for female cases, at least for few weeks.
Authorities, on the other express their lack of capacity to recruit on immediate terms on pretext of lack of development funds. Public circles express their concerns on delay in appointment over delay in proper staff saying beaurocracy was resorting to tactics to undertake recruitments on deputation.
